Lead the planners and scheduler team. The primary role will be to plan, estimate, and schedule maintenance work. Utilize corporate maintenance computer programs and databases such as SAP to provide information in a timely and efficient manner, coordinate stepped work within the same organization, and analyze and prepare daily/weekly schedules.
A maintenance planner is responsible for ensuring the maintenance team has the tools and parts they need to complete work orders in a timely manner to avoid equipment downtime.

Primary Responsibilities:
Developing and managing detailed maintenance schedules and work orders
Coordinating and scheduling all maintenance activities
Ensuring that all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and industry standards
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance performed, equipment condition, and maintenance costs
Working with engineering and operations teams to plan and implement equipment modifications and upgrades
Procuring necessary maintenance supplies and equipment
Working with vendors and contractors as needed
Participating in the development and implementation of maintenance policies, procedures, and best practices
Maintaining the record for spare parts through the SAP system
Processing work orders. Visiting job sites when necessary. Utilizing knowledge of craft skills and knowledge of the equipment involved, and placing job steps in the proper sequence.
Identifying all materials, tools, equipment, and special preparations required for each job step.
Providing the foremen with a completed package at minimum cost.
Ensuring that materials are received prior to scheduling the job.
Ensuring that surplus and excess materials are returned to the proper materials handling personnel for eventual return to the warehouse.
Arranging for and scheduling support service equipment to coincide with the maintenance order scheduling.
Providing maintenance performance monitoring data for the assigned area or unit.
Preparing Job Cards and reviewing the log of existing Job Cards for potential application.
Participating in the Weekly/Schedule Coordination Meeting and presenting the Weekly Schedule of workable maintenance jobs from the backlog.
Ensuring which jobs will be worked in the upcoming week.
Preparing daily schedules from the approved Weekly Schedule.
Coordinating daily schedules with Maintenance Foremen, Supervisor, and Operations Foremen and ensuring that a complete planning package is attached to the work order.
Checking received materials and issuing them to craftsmen.
Requesting crane/trailer and ensuring contract readiness or other resources required for the daily scheduled jobs.
Listing, editing, and checking all issued maintenance tickets and plans/schedules work.
Planning major jobs with the assistance of planners and developing critical path charts if required.
Updating maintenance order statuses. Generating Plant Maintenance reports.
Providing maintenance performance monitoring data for the assigned area.
Developing a master plan for any non-shutdown or shutdown-related activities and coordinating with HSE, Logistics, and other disciplines prior to execution.
Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Superintendent.
Education / Professional Qualification:
Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or another relevant field.
Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in Refinery as Maintenance Planner.
