Position: Head of Maintenance

Type: Full-time

The Head of Maintenance is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations to ensure the highest level of service and support for post-sales products. This role involves managing a team of maintenance professionals, developing maintenance strategies, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), handling quality issues, utilizing maintenance systems efficiently, and optimizing maintenance costs. Additionally, this role includes overseeing the maintenance of facilities to ensure optimal working conditions and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Aftersales Service Management:
    • Lead and direct the maintenance operations to ensure the timely and effective service for all post-sales products.
    • Develop and enforce compliance with SLAs to maintain superior customer satisfaction.
    • Formulate and implement advanced maintenance strategies and best practices to maximize product uptime and reliability.
  2. Proactive Quality Problem Handling:
    • Swiftly address and resolve customer complaints and issues related to maintenance services.
    • Implement robust corrective and preventive actions to enhance product and service quality.
    • Conduct in-depth analysis of recurring quality issues and develop strategic plans to mitigate them.
    • Deploy and optimize maintenance management software to enhance maintenance activities.
    • Ensure precise and timely documentation of all maintenance activities within the system.
    • Analyze system data comprehensively to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  3. Cost Optimization and Budget Management:
    • Identify and exploit opportunities to reduce maintenance costs without compromising service quality.
    • Implement cost-effective maintenance practices and strategic cost-saving initiatives.
    • Closely monitor and manage maintenance budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility.
  4. Facilities Maintenance Oversight:
    • Supervise the maintenance of all facilities to ensure they are in prime working condition.
    • Develop and implement a rigorous preventive maintenance schedule for all facilities.
    • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and standards for all facility maintenance activities.
    • Coordinate effectively with external contractors for specialized maintenance and repairs.
    • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to promptly address maintenance needs.
  5. Process Improvement and Innovation:
    • Identify and lead initiatives for improving maintenance operations to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive standard operating procedures for all maintenance activities.
  6. Compliance and Safety Leadership:
    • Ensure stringent compliance with all safety regulations and company policies related to maintenance operations.
    • Implement and enforce rigorous safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all maintenance employees.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to uphold safety standards.
  7. Reporting and Documentation:
    • Develop and present detailed strategic reports on maintenance performance, including key metrics such as downtime, repair times, customer satisfaction, and cost savings.
    • Utilize data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation for all maintenance activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably within an aftersales or customer service environment.
  • Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of maintenance practices, tools, and equipment. Advanced proficiency in maintenance management software.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership and team management skills, with a track record of motivating and developing staff in a complex organizational structure.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Communication Skills: Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement advanced process improvements.
  • Safety Awareness: Deep commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field required.
  • Master's degree or relevant certifications in maintenance management or related disciplines are preferred.

  • Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM)
