Job description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- 7 years of experience in the same field and 3 years’ experience in the same position as Head Nurse in mental health.
- Master’s degree in nursing is preferred.
- Dataflow is a must.
- Saudi license holder is a plus.
- Fluent in English.
Job description and responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the nursing team, providing direction and support to ensure optimal patient care.
- Coordinate staffing schedules and assignments to meet patient needs effectively.
- Monitor patient assessments, care plans, and treatment interventions to ensure they align with best practices in mental health care.
- Conduct regular rounds to assess patient conditions and the effectiveness of care strategies.
- Facilitate training and orientation for new nursing staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Identify ongoing education opportunities for team members to enhance clinical competencies.
- Implement and evaluate nursing protocols and standards to improve patient outcomes and safety.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and monitor compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead crisis intervention efforts, ensuring staff are trained in de-escalation techniques and emergency response.
- Address and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise within the unit.
- Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding treatment plans, progress, and resources.
- Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of patient care activities, assessments, and interventions.
- Prepare reports on unit performance, patient outcomes, and incidents for management review.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of patients within the mental health system.
- Promote mental health awareness and access to services within the community.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures that align with organizational goals.
- Stay informed about changes in mental health regulations and best practices.

- Assist in managing the nursing budget, including staffing, supplies, and equipment.
- Seek cost-effective solutions to enhance service delivery without compromising care quality.
