Head Nurse Medical Surgical Ward

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• 7 years of experience in the same field and 3 years in the same position as head nurse.
• Dataflow is a must.
• Saudi license holder is a plus.
• Fluent in English.

Job description and responsibilities:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals.
• Evaluating medical information, as well as providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre- and post-surgery patients.
• Preparing, administering, and recording prescribed medications.
• Changing dressings, inserting catheters, tube feedings, and starting IVs.
• Adjusting specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpreting and recording measurements.
• Monitoring patients’ vitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner.
• Collaborating on discharge planning with the healthcare team.
• Answering questions and educating patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
• Maintaining and updating patient files, medical charts, and health records.
• Adhering to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols.
• Assisting surgeons and physicians during surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments, sterile supplies, and medications.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Responding promptly to emergencies and providing immediate care to stabilize patients.
• Ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients.
