Head Nurse Medical Surgical Ward

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

• 7 years of experience in the same field and 3 years in the same position as head nurse.

• Dataflow is a must.

• Saudi license holder is a plus.

• Fluent in English.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

1. Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals.
2. Evaluating medical information, as well as providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre- and post-surgery patients.
3. Preparing, administering, and recording prescribed medications.
4. Changing dressings, inserting catheters, performing tube feedings, and starting IVs.
5. Adjusting specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpreting and recording measurements.
6. Monitoring patients’ vitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner.
7. Collaborating on discharge planning with the healthcare team.
8. Answering questions and educating patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
9. Maintaining and updating patient files, medical charts, and health records.
10. Adhering to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols.
11. Assisting surgeons and physicians during surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments, sterile supplies, and medications.
12. Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
13. Responding promptly to emergencies and providing immediate care to stabilize patients.
14. Ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients.
