Head Nurse for Extended Care Unit (Head Nurse ECU)

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
2. 10 years of experience in the same field and 3 years experience in the same position as Head Nurse ECU.
3. Master’s degree in nursing holder.
4. Dataflow is a must.
5. Saudi license holder is a plus.
6. Fluent in English.

Job description and responsibilities:

1. Manage and supervise nursing staff in the Extended Care Unit.
2. Develop and implement nursing care plans for patients.
3. Coordinate patient care activities and ensure adherence to established protocols and procedures.
4. Monitor patient progress and update treatment plans as needed.
5. Conduct staff evaluations and provide feedback for performance improvement.
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
7. Oversee medication administration and ensure compliance with medication protocols.
8. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
9. Handle patient and family concerns or complaints in a professional manner.
10. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in extended care nursing.
11. Ensure proper documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
12. Review documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
13. Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients in the Extended Care Unit.
14. Monitor patient progress, update care plans as needed, and ensure continuity of care.
15. Coordinate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care to patients.
16. Ensure compliance with medical protocols and standards of care.
17. Supervise and evaluate the performance of nursing personnel.
18. Ensure adequate staffing levels and schedule appropriate coverage.
19. Conduct regular audits to assess the quality of care and identify areas for improvement.
20. Stay current on industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
21. Facilitate continuing education opportunities for nursing team members.
