Greenhouse Technician

As a critical member of our client team, you will work in a collaborative environment dedicated to sustainable practices and innovative agriculture solutions.

Responsibilities

1. Monitor and regulate the greenhouse environment, including temperature, humidity, and light exposure, to support optimal plant growth.
2. Implement and manage irrigation and fertilization programs tailored to the specific needs of different plant varieties.
3. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on greenhouse equipment, such as climate control and irrigation systems.
4. Assist in the propagation and transplanting of plants, ensuring proper techniques to maximize plant health.
5. Regularly inspect plants for signs of pests and diseases, implementing effective management strategies.
6. Document all operations, including planting schedules, growth progress, and environmental data for analysis.
7. Work closely with agronomists and other specialists to adopt best practices for crop management and production techniques.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Degree in horticulture, botany, agriculture, or a related field is preferred.
2. Experience in a greenhouse or nursery setting is highly desirable.
3. In-depth knowledge of plant care, greenhouse operations, and pest management techniques.
4. Familiarity with irrigation systems and environmental control technology.
5. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
6. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
7. Good communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
8. Physical fitness and the capability to handle manual labor tasks associated with greenhouse work.
