We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Government Relations Supervisor to join our team.
Position Overview
We are currently seeking a passionate and dynamic Government Relations Supervisor who has excellent problem-solving skills to join our team in KSA. As a Government Relations Supervisor, you are responsible for processing and carrying out all transactions and possible challenges related to work permits, entry permits, resident permits, visit/transit visas, attestations of certificates, and customs-related matters for the ALEC GROUP as a whole.
Responsibilities
- Process all legal documents relating to visas, sponsorships, labour cards, residence permits, vehicle registration, licenses and other permits for submission to the appropriate authorities. Interface with government departments as required.
- Build and maintain relationships with key individuals in required Government departments, to ensure suitable assistance is available as and when required.
- Liaise with the selected Agency for all matters related to customs authorizations, approvals and queries.
- Work with the selected Agency to resolve any matters holding up company shipments and deliveries in a prompt manner.
- Keep the Head of People & Culture and Government Relations informed of any challenges or issues that may arise and propose possible and workable solutions to resolve challenges.
- Update and maintain an accurate database regarding the visa processes and associated documents issued by the Government Relations team.
- Update and carry out specific tasks on the Government Systems as and when requested to do so by the Head of People & Culture and Government Relations.
- Stay up to date with Saudization requirements for the industry and assist in communication and necessary action with Business Units and/or Departments that are non-compliant.
- Provide administrative support to the Head of People & Culture and Government Relations and together with the GR Team carry out the following duties for all Employees in terms of:
- Ensuring visa and labor-related formalities for the entire ALEC Group of companies and subsidiaries are processed timely and efficiently.
- Receiving all new employees' documents from the People & Culture Department and ensure compliance with KSA Labour and Immigration official requirements.
- Processing all relevant applications, ensuring they are completed in a correct and timely manner and following up on the associated fees and expenses (if incurred) with the concerned Governmental Departments.
- Following up on fines and valuations of any subsidiaries and solving the problems with the concerned governmental entities.
- Providing the concerned management with different reports regarding employees and associated costs regarding visa, medical etc.
- Ensuring that salaries, titles as well as degree certification are matching and in-line with regulations.
- Ensure Company legal licenses and other relevant documents are updated, valid and renewed prior to expiry.
- Following up on renewals, maintain all company documents such as CR, Saudization, GOSI, QIWA, Tax, etc.
- Organizes attestation of certificates and legal translation of documents and other activities related to immigration and labour.
- Coordinate with P&C department and update them for new hiring status.
- Receive and follow-up of employment visas with the team and register the status (issued visas, arrival, visa cancellations and delay) accordingly.
- Protect the interest of the company in accordance with governmental authorities, laws and regulation.
- Keep up to date regarding any changes or amendments to the prevailing laws, rules, forms, requirements, applications, fees, nationality restrictions.
- Manage and carry out any Government Sector or Government Authority request as per requirements.
- Perform related duties as required by the Head of People & Culture and Government Relations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in General Administration or related field
- 3-5 years local experience liaising with Immigration, Labour department and other government departments
- Ability to network and build relationships with key contacts
- Written and spoken English and Arabic
- Knowledge in Labour Office, Jawazat and Governmental Regulations
- Knowledge of administrative procedures and policies applied at the Company
- Knowledge of Governmental Procedures in issuing licenses and other related documents
