Government Relations and Clinical Strategy Advisor

Position Overview:
As a Government Relations and Clinical Strategy Advisor (m/f/*) for the Health Information System Division at Solventum Riyadh, you will leverage your expertise to influence public health policy and drive clinical strategy. You will collaborate with senior clients and thought leaders globally, contributing to innovative solutions that improve healthcare outcomes. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend strategic advisory skills with hands-on project management, making a significant impact on healthcare systems and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Advisory: Engage with senior clients, offering strategic guidance on government relations and clinical initiatives. Operate with a high degree of autonomy, ensuring that Solventum's solutions are aligned with both regulatory frameworks and clinical needs.
  2. Project Management: Lead and support complex projects related to healthcare quality improvement, patient classification systems, and payment schemes. Facilitate workshops, conduct in-depth analyses, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  3. Policy Influence: Assist in the development and implementation of Solventum's healthcare solutions and services, particularly in areas such as value-based purchasing programs, population health, DRGs, and other proprietary tools aimed at enhancing healthcare quality and cost management.
  4. Communication and Collaboration: Develop and deliver high-impact presentations that distil complex project outcomes into clear, compelling messages. Work collaboratively across teams and engage effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  5. Innovation and Development: Drive innovation within the healthcare sector by developing and refining solutions that address current challenges. Play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of healthcare policies and systems in the region.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree with an excellent academic record is required; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, PhD) in relevant fields preferred.
  2. Master's degree in Health Economics, Public Health, or a related policy field is highly desirable.
  3. 5-7 years of experience in the public or health sector, with a strong understanding of healthcare systems, clinical workflows, and revenue cycles.
  4. Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare IT industry trends and clinical outcome measures.
  5. Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply these in a strategic context.
  6. Proven ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus).
  7. Experience with strategic planning and the ability to adjust current payment schemes based on large data analysis.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Skills:

  1. Strategic thinking with a deep understanding of healthcare policy and economics.
  2. Experience with large-scale organizational change initiatives in the healthcare sector.
  3. Ability to work in a dynamic, international environment with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Travel Requirements:
This position may include up to 40% domestic and international travel.
