Overview
We are seeking a Geological / Geophysical Data Scientist to join the Digital Transformation Group within the Geological Operations Department (GLOD).
The Digital Transformation Group (DTG) delivers a unified approach to streamline geological digital strategies, enhance efficiency by transforming unstructured data into digital formats, implement novel technologies, leverage machine learning capabilities, and create innovative workflows to produce structured and standardized data. This endeavor involves collaboration with various exploration-focused entities. Our ultimate goal is to evolve from fragmented automation of discrete phases within geological operations towards establishing a comprehensive, intelligent, and real-time digital ecosystem where all geological data and insights are digitized, seamlessly transmitted, secured, and readily available to all Upstream stakeholders.
As a Geological / Geophysical Data Scientist, you will be responsible for data gathering, cleaning, and visualization for structured & unstructured data, perform statistical hypothesis and complex analysis of structured & unstructured data, and develop complex data models and algorithms customized for specific scenarios on data linked to geological operations.
