Diagnosis and trouble-shooting of mechanical defects in:
Diesel powered generator engines.
Company cars, trucks, and road-sweepers.
Fire-fighting engine-driven pumps and other mechanical equipments.
Detailed examination of the equipments to identify the cause of the problems through the correct usage of:
Gauges.
Indicator dials and other specialized indicator type gauges.
Performance of routine maintenance and mechanical repairs on a variety of diesel engines / driven equipments.
Leading from the information gained during the any or all of the above, identifying and implementing best the method of repair and maintenance.
Conducting general overhauls of fuel pumps and hydraulic systems in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and information contained within Equipment Operations Manuals.
Maintaining accurate work records of equipment repairs and servicing history.
Maintaining records of equipment usage and safety records.
Estimating costs and materials consumed during all servicing and repair work on all types of equipment.
Ordering of spare and replacement parts and maintaining an accurate inventory of all components and equipments.
Care and maintenance of all specialized tools and equipments allocated either as long-term loan or personal issue.
Adhering to ACGC / Client Tool Control Procedures, as and when required.
Assisting in the execution of the training program among Saudi Trainees, whenever required.
Working with limited supervision;
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues.
Performance of any other duties as delegated by Mechanical Supervisor.
Authorized to execute tasks as delegated by the Mechanical Supervisor and/or the Site Superintendent.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of 2 year Course in Automotive Technology, Mechanical or equivalent experience.
Preferably with TESDA NC2 in Automotive Servicing.
Minimum of 3-years working experience in automotive and heavy equipment repairs.
Not more than 50 years old.
Shall possess a valid driver’s license.
EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of operation, repair and preventive maintenance of diesel power generator engines, equipment and tools used in making mechanical repairs.
