General Technician (Kitchen & Laundry)
As a Kitchen & Laundry technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient execution of all tasks, including:
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair kitchen and laundry equipment along with cold rooms.
- Recycle and charge refrigerants as required.
- Inspect and test refrigeration systems, safety devices, and control for efficiency of operation and compliance with safety practices and regulations.
- Understand and follow blueprints or building plans.
- Ensure proper inventory and storage of Kitchen & Laundry tools, equipment, and materials.
- Prepare and ensure daily and weekly routine cleaning of all laundry and kitchen equipment.
- Respond to emergency repair requests promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Collaborate with other departments to support maintenance and renovation projects.
- Repair or replace condensers, compressors, pumps, valves, motors, bearings, belts, and other parts.
- Complete Kitchen & Laundry orders promptly and accurately.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance as per the scheduled program.
- Consistently deliver high-quality Kitchen & Laundry work.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment while on duty.
- Accurately complete and submit work slips (or online system) and request forms (or work log) at the end of each shift.
- Keep the workspace clean and organized.
- Uphold InterContinental’s guidelines and service standards, consistently meeting or exceeding performance expectations.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
Requirements:

- Operate a personal computer and spreadsheet.

- Physical fitness, mental fitness, and dexterity to handle the work.
- Knowledge of different Kitchen, Laundry, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to operate and maintain the resort perfectly.
- Attention to detail and ability to identify imperfections or defects.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with other team members and supervisors.
- Adherence to safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
