Job description

We are seeking an experienced and visionary General Manager to lead our prestigious hotel operations in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. As the primary strategic business leader, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while driving financial success and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve short-term and long-term business goals
  • Drive overall hotel performance, including revenue management, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing executive team, fostering a collaborative and customer-focused culture
  • Oversee all departments, including rooms, food and beverage, sales and marketing, finance, and human resources
  • Manage budgets, financial forecasts, and cost control measures to maximize profitability
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including owners, corporate leadership, and local business partners
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, local regulations, and industry best practices
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance guest experiences and operational processes
  • Act as the face of the hotel, representing the brand at industry events and within the local community
  • Drive sales and marketing initiatives to increase market share and revenue
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and guest feedback to inform strategic decisions

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 3 years in a General Manager role at an international brand
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field
  • Proven track record of financial acumen, including expertise in sales, pricing, and revenue management
  • Strong leadership abilities with a talent for developing and mentoring high-performing teams
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to communicate plans effectively and drive their execution
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a knack for identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building strong relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and implement operational efficiencies
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English; additional languages are a plus
  • In-depth understanding of local culture and business practices in Saudi Arabia
  • Experience in luxury or upscale properties preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisive actions in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and financial analysis tools
