Job Overview:
The Executive Director of Legal is responsible for overseeing all legal matters related to Starlink's business operations, ensuring compliance with local and international laws, and safeguarding the company's interests. This strategic leadership role involves advising senior management, mitigating legal risks, managing external and internal legal resources, and establishing legal frameworks that support corporate growth, governance, and operational excellence.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Legal Advisory & Risk Mitigation
- Provide expert legal advice to senior leadership and business units across all company functions.
- Identify potential legal exposures and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
- Support strategic initiatives, business transactions, and partnerships with legal guidance.
Contracts & Commercial Agreements
- Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial agreements, vendor contracts, service-level agreements, and strategic partnerships.
- Ensure all contracts protect the company's legal and commercial interests and are compliant with applicable regulations.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Oversee implementation of corporate governance practices and support the Board of Directors on legal matters.
- Lead the development and implementation of internal policies, codes of conduct, and compliance frameworks.
Litigation & Dispute Resolution
- Manage all legal disputes and litigation cases, coordinating with external legal counsel.
- Represent the company's interests in negotiations and legal proceedings to minimize risk and exposure.
- Ensure efficient and cost-effective resolution of disputes.
Regulatory Monitoring & Legal Trends
- Stay current with changes in local and international laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting the business.
- Provide insights and recommendations on regulatory impacts and legal risk exposure.
Corporate Transactions & Intellectual Property
- Lead legal due diligence and structuring for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic business ventures.
- Oversee the management and protection of the company's intellectual property, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
Employment Law & HR Support
- Advise the HR department on labor laws, employment agreements, workplace investigations, and employee disputes.
- Ensure employment policies comply with legal and regulatory standards.
Compliance Training & Awareness
- Develop and deliver training programs on legal risk, regulatory compliance, anti-bribery, and corporate ethics.
- Foster a culture of ethical conduct and legal awareness across the organization.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the in-house legal team.
- Ensure that legal resources are aligned with organizational goals and deliver effective, business-focused solutions.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Law.
- Master's degree is preferred.
- Legal certification is preferred.
- Licensed to practice law in Saudi Arabia.
- 10+ years of experience in legal with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal leadership role.
- Proven experience in contract law, corporate law, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.
- Strong knowledge of KSA legal framework and international commercial law.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or similar industries is a plus.
