General Accountant

A new vacancy in an Oil & Gas engineering service company is looking for a General Accountant, to work on-site.

Responsibilities

Daily:

1. Process customer/vendor invoices in the accounting system
2. Ensure customer/vendor invoices are in line with KSA regulatory requirements
3. Process bank transactions in the accounting system
4. Post accounting journal entries in the accounting system
5. Maintain chart of accounts by identifying and obtaining approvals for new accounts
6. Ensure accounting records are supported by audit quality primary documentation
7. Maintain document support in SharePoint
8. Maintain registers for assets/liabilities outside of the accounting system when needed and/or requested
9. Represent the company in communication with KSA regulatory authority
10. Provide translation to the finance department from Arabic into English and back
11. Identify payables and advise Treasury on the payables due
12. Identify past receivables and advise Business for further communication with clients
13. Review expense reports for completeness of documentation and compliance with company policy

Monthly/Annually:

1. Post closing journal entries including but not limited to amortization, depreciation, accruals
2. Reconcile accounting records to bank statements, customer & vendor account balances
3. Organize communication and collection of the missing primary documents
4. Process payroll
5. Prepare and submit to Finance Manager month end reports for further group reporting requirements
6. Fill out I-Co related documentation, resolve I-Co related discrepancies
7. Timely prepare and submit all company related reports and returns to comply with tax (CIT, VAT, WHT) in KSA

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting

Accounting qualification in IFRS (CPA, AMCA, CCA, and others) is a strong plus

Accounting experience of 7 plus years (accounting practice (consulting) is a strong plus)

Proficient in English and Arabic

Residing in KSA
