Foreman - Fit Out

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Foreman for our team in Saudi Arabia, who specializes in Theming Works.

Responsibilities:

The individual will be responsible for (but not limited to):

1. Daily review of the work schedule with his supervisor.
2. Ensure that correct tools and personal protective equipment are used on site at all times.
3. Ensure employees have the right tools and equipment needed for the job to ensure quality output.
4. Ensure that his team is working safely, in line with ALEC company policy and procedures, making certain that signs and regulations on site are adhered to.
5. Ensure all works are completed using the appropriate safety equipment.
6. Ensure the most suitable materials are used for each construction activity.
7. Calculate the quantities of materials required, by accurately measuring the activity, and ensuring these materials are ordered timeously.
8. Be responsible for and manage all hazardous materials on site, ensuring they are labeled, stored, managed, and used appropriately.
9. Ensure each task is planned and that the correct materials and resources are available.
10. Evaluate the best way to do the job to minimize costs without sacrificing the quality of the work carried out.
11. Organize, prioritize time, and distribute the workload to his team according to their know-how.
12. Read and interpret technical drawings to give clear directions to Chargehand, Tradesmen, and Labour regarding the work that needs to be done to avoid repeating mistakes.
13. Deliver each job on time to the required quality standards.
14. Understand how the contract impacts the environment and ensure actions are taken to minimize this impact.
15. Record activity on site and ensure that productivity is at optimum level through implementing productivity improvement initiatives.
16. Understand the financial consequences of his decisions.
17. Prepare for and conduct quality checks on his team's work.
18. Solve minor problems and report the complex ones to his manager.
19. Maintain a healthy work climate between workers to prevent conflicts, motivate the team, and encourage teamwork at all levels.
20. Provide, on a daily basis, accurate work progress status reports to his manager.

Requirements and Skills:

1. Over 5 years experience as a Foreman.
2. Ability to communicate with workers and managers.
3. Good analysis and observation skills.
4. Good leadership, management, planning, and motivational skills.
5. Good written and oral communication in the English language.
6. First Aider.

Candidates already in Saudi Arabia will be given preference.
