Job Description

Key Deliverables and Responsibilities

  1. Ensure correct grooming standards are followed at all times
  2. Exceed guest satisfaction by knowing preferences and updating profiles
  3. Maintain detailed knowledge of the restaurant menu & daily specials at all times
  4. Be familiar with the beverage service including glasses used and appropriate garnishes
  5. Follow up restaurant's financial, LQA, TrustYou and Forbes targets on a daily basis
  6. Anticipate and service guests' requirements at all times
  7. Follow up daily financial targets of area/division
  8. Use opening and closing checklist to ensure smooth opening and closing of the venue
  9. Ensure service stations are constantly cleared and re-stocked during service
  10. Serve and clear food and beverage items in an unobtrusive and professional manner
  11. Present menus in a proactive manner
  12. Feel empowered and accountable within the workplace
  13. Keep manager on duty updated of any guest feedback so they can update the Glitch Report
  14. Maintain the HACCP & FIFO standards as required by the regional governing body
  15. Follow Hotel Evacuation Policy in case of an Emergency
  16. Attend all necessary briefings and training sessions as instructed by the Manager
  17. Handle financial procedures according to guidelines set by the finance department
  18. Identify potential problems and anticipate guest needs, asking for assistance before service breakdown occurs
  19. Perform any duties and special projects as requested by management whether in your own department or any other department in the hotel
  20. Report all issues and negative guest feedback properly on the glitch system
  21. Follow care program at all times, and report issues through the system to maintenance

Qualifications
