A Food and Beverage Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel's dining services. Here are the typical day-to-day activities for this position:
Day-to-Day Activities of a Food and Beverage Supervisor
- Supervising Staff: Leading and mentoring the food and beverage team to ensure high standards of service. Conducting briefings and training sessions to keep the team informed and motivated.
- Overseeing Service Operations: Monitoring the setup and service of dining areas, including restaurants, bars, and banquet facilities. Ensuring that all areas are clean, well-maintained, and properly stocked.
- Guest Interaction: Greeting guests and ensuring they receive exceptional service. Handling guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Quality Control: Inspecting food and beverage items to ensure they meet the hotel's quality standards. Coordinating with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
- Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies. Placing orders and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Administrative Tasks: Preparing and submitting reports on food and beverage operations, including sales, inventory, and staff performance. Maintaining accurate records of all transactions and activities.
- Ensuring Compliance: Ensuring that all food and beverage operations comply with health and safety regulations. Conducting regular inspections to maintain hygiene and safety standards.
- Event Coordination: Assisting in the planning and execution of special events and banquets. Coordinating with other departments to ensure seamless service during events.
Skills and Qualities Needed

What we need from you
Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree, higher education qualification or equivalent in Hotel Administration / Business Administration.
- Two to three years’ prior tenure in a similar role.
- International luxury hotel chain background.
- GCC exposure.
- English fluency is required.
- Arabic fluency is preferred.
