Position Objectives:
Financial Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial models to support strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis for FOM. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles, corporate accounting, profit and loss (P&L) management, and a business-oriented mindset to drive sound financial decision-making and optimize financial performance.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
Revenue Growth: Tracks the increase in revenue generated over time, indicating the financial health and success of the business.
Profit Margin: Calculates the percentage of revenue that exceeds the costs of running the business, providing insight into profitability.
Cash Flow Management: Monitors the inflow and outflow of cash to ensure financial stability and liquidity.
Budget Variance: Measures the difference between budgeted and actual figures for various financial metrics, helping to identify areas for improvement.
Return on Investment (ROI): Assesses the profitability of investments and projects by comparing the gains to the costs.
Cost Reduction: Tracks the effectiveness of initiatives aimed at reducing costs and improving efficiency.
Financial Reporting Accuracy: Ensures that financial reports are accurate, timely, and compliant with company policies.
Infrastructure Utilization Rate: Measures the percentage of fiber infrastructure that is actively being used, helping to identify underutilization or overutilization.
Project Completion Rate: Monitors the percentage of projects completed on time and within budget, ensuring efficient project management.
Customer Satisfaction: Collects and analyzes feedback from customers regarding the performance and reliability of the fiber infrastructure, ensuring high service quality.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
15+ years of progressive experience in financial management and analysis.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and macros), ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and data visualization tools like Power BI.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and draw insightful conclusions.
High-quality financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for senior management.
Understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow management.
Knowledge of relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS), regulatory requirements, and best practices in financial management.
Excellent communication and data visualization skills, with the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights and compelling narratives for the audience.
