As Kinza prepares to become a fully independent entity, we are laying the foundation for a world-class franchising model, joint ventures, and a future listing on the Saudi Stock Exchange. We are now seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Director to lead this financial transformation.
Role Overview:
The Finance Director will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for leading all aspects of Kinza’s financial planning, controls, accounting, cost analysis, reporting, and capital strategy. The role requires deep financial and commercial acumen, hands-on leadership, and IPO-readiness experience. This leader will build a finance function capable of supporting international growth through franchising, JVs, and corporate restructuring.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute Kinza’s financial strategy in alignment with business goals, franchising, and IPO roadmap.
- Act as a key advisor to the CEO and Board, contributing to capital planning, financial risk management, and long-term value creation.
- Build and lead a modern, independent finance organization capable of operating outside Aljameel Group while maintaining alignment during transition.
2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Reporting
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting cycles, and rolling forecasts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Deliver insightful analysis on profitability by channel, region, and product line.
3. Cost Control & Financial Performance
- Lead development of detailed costing models for factory operations, warehousing, and distribution networks.
- Implement margin analysis and control over raw materials, packaging, logistics, and labour costs.
- Drive initiatives to improve cost efficiency, working capital, and return on invested capital.
4. IPO Preparation & Financial Governance
- Build IPO readiness roadmap including:
- IFRS-compliant financial reporting
- Audit readiness and clean historical financial statements
- Board-level governance, risk, and internal controls
- Lead interaction with external advisors, investment banks, and regulators during the IPO process.
5. Franchising & Joint Venture Support
- Provide financial structuring and valuation input into franchise licensing agreements and JV partnerships.
- Determine optimal transfer pricing models for concentrate sales and royalties.
- Build financial models to assess partner performance and return on investment.
6. Tax Management & Regulatory Compliance
- Oversee all direct and indirect tax compliance across operations and exports, including:
- Excise Tax on sugary beverages
- VAT, including cross-border and input/output reconciliation
- Zakat and Income Tax (GAZT/ZATCA)
- Supervise the Tax Accountant, ensuring timely filings, documentation, and tax efficiency planning.
- Lead tax risk assessments and handle correspondence with ZATCA and external tax consultants.
- Support group restructuring and IPO from a tax planning and regulatory alignment perspective.
7. Treasury, Cash Management & Capital Planning
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity risk.
- Develop strategies for fundraising, banking relationships, and financing capital expenditures.
- Manage currency exposure and support financial controls for international transactions.
8. Financial Systems & Internal Controls
- Oversee integration and optimization of SAP S/4HANA Finance module.
- Ensure strong internal control framework, segregation of duties, and audit trails.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
9. Leadership & Capability Building
- Build and develop the finance team, including Controllers, Cost Accountants, Tax Accountant, and FP&A roles.
- Promote a culture of accountability, commercial partnership, and business enablement.
- Develop succession plans and lead finance training programs for internal growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; MBA or Master’s preferred.
- CPA, CMA, CA, or ACCA certification required.
- Minimum 12–15 years’ experience, including at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role in FMCG, beverages, or manufacturing.
- Demonstrated experience with IPO planning, tax management, and international expansion.
- Strong command of Saudi and GCC tax laws, IFRS, and regulatory frameworks (ZATCA, CMA, Tadawul).
- Prior experience with SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP systems is strongly preferred.
