Job Title: Financial Controller, ME

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Financial Controller to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for financial management, looking to develop their career in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Job Summary:

As Financial Controller, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing various financial operations and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and corporate policies. You will work closely with senior management to provide financial insights and drive financial performance across the company, ensuring the accurate recording, reporting, and analysis of all financial results in line with Metso’s management accounting policies and reporting procedures.

You will join a team of financial and business experts dedicated to driving financial performance and supporting strategic decision-making. Be a part of developing financial strategies and analyzing business performance to enhance profitability and operational efficiency. Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including business areas and Middle East & India Market Area (MEI MA), to coordinate financial reviews and provide timely feedback to business. Drive sales growth by delivering actionable financial insights, supporting business leaders in making data-driven decisions, and positioning yourself as a catalyst for business success. What you'll do:

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist in delivering relevant and accurate financial information and business analysis to support leadership decisions, planning, and target setting.
  • Communicate financial performance, order intake, backlog, and customer funnel development to Market Area Management.
  • Support the Administrative Managing Director (AMD) in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger functions.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for management and external stakeholders.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decision-making.
  • Lead and manage a team of finance staff, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns and other regulatory compliance documents.
  • Coordinate with auditors and manage internal and external audits.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance department.
  • Assist in cash flow management and optimize working capital.
  • Develop cost center budgets, including headcount and allocations.
  • Establish burden rates aligned with business needs.
  • Actively participate in annual and quarterly planning, including monthly short-term order and sales estimates.
  • Conduct special financial analyses to support business decisions.
  • Provide timely feedback to stakeholders and support smooth financial operations.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or professional certifications like CPA, ACCA is a plus).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting principles.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proven experience in a controller role and success in change management and driving profitability.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
