The Financial Manager will play a vital role at Ektefaa Society by overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting the organization's strategic objectives. This position requires a strong background in finance, investment management, and nonprofit compliance, along with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Oversight:
Supervise the accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and nonprofit regulations.
Coordinate the annual budget preparation process and monitor adherence to the budget.
Investment Management:
Manage the organization's investment portfolio and develop strategies to optimize returns.
Assess potential investment opportunities in line with the organization's mission and financial goals.
Monitor market trends and adjust investment strategies accordingly.
Expense Management:
Oversee the organization's expenses and ensure efficiency in budgeting and forecasting.
Implement cost-control measures to improve financial efficiency.
Financial Analysis:
Conduct financial analyses to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Prepare reports and presentations to communicate financial insights to the Board and leadership team.
Use financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Compliance Monitoring:
Ensure the organization complies with all relevant financial regulations.
Coordinate audit processes and work with external auditors to ensure smooth operations.
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and support the accounting team in day-to-day operations and professional development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
3-5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a nonprofit organization.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulatory compliance.
Proven experience in investment management and financial analysis.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in financial software and Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
