Finance Manager

Job Overview:

A prominent company in the food and equipment distribution sector is seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Manager to lead and strengthen its financial operations, ensuring smooth and efficient operations within the finance department. The ideal candidate will oversee budgeting, financial planning, and analysis, ensuring compliance with Saudi Arabian financial regulations. This role is crucial in supporting the company's diverse business activities, contributing directly to growth as it expands production capacity and enhances distribution across Saudi Arabia and the broader Middle East.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Departmental Operations Management: Oversee and ensure the smooth daily operations of the finance department, streamlining financial processes to support business goals. Maintain efficient workflows and accurate reporting within the finance team.
2. Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting in alignment with the company’s strategic goals and expansion plans. Analyze financial performance and provide insights to drive operational and strategic decision-making.
3. Cost Management: Implement cost control initiatives, including analyzing cost of goods sold (COGS) and operating expenses. Drive efficiencies across manufacturing and distribution operations to enhance profitability.
4. Investment and Capital Strategy: Collaborate with senior management to evaluate new investment opportunities and manage the sale of up to 40% equity, optimizing funding for expansion. Prepare financial projections and valuations to attract potential investors.
5. Cash Flow and Liquidity Management: Oversee cash flow management, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs and strategic investments. Manage short-term and long-term financing requirements.
6. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance standards. Identify and mitigate financial risks, including those related to currency fluctuations and market dynamics.
7. Financial Reporting and Audit Coordination: Prepare detailed financial reports for stakeholders and investors, including historical data and growth projections. Coordinate external audits, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance in all financial records.
8. Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a financial advisor to executive management, providing strategic insights and recommendations. Collaborate cross-functionally to support and enhance financial awareness within the organization.
9. Team Leadership: Manage and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement. Support team mentorship and ensure efficient and timely completion of financial processes.

Requirements:

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA is highly preferred.
2. Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of finance management experience, preferably in the food production or FMCG sectors.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, ERP systems, and a thorough understanding of Saudi Arabian financial standards, tax laws, and compliance requirements. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP will be considered an added advantage.
4. Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabia’s financial regulations, tax requirements, and corporate governance standards.
5. Industry Knowledge: Experience in food manufacturing or processing is a strong advantage, as it will support better alignment with the company’s operational needs.
6. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of leveraging financial data to support strategic decisions.
7. Leadership and Communication Skills: Proven experience in managing finance teams and facilitating cross-departmental collaboration. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
