Job Description

ROLE OBJECTIVE

The West Gulf Finance Lead will play a critical role to support the country operation through managing multiple workstreams where the primary focus will be managing business planning, supporting decision making by identifying, maintaining, analyzing, and evaluating information; recommending actions.

Ensure business partnership and support business functions with proper analysis and relevant data to develop solutions and recommendations. This includes both quantitative and qualitative analysis, forecasting, financial modeling, working with large data sets, developing reports, as well as creating presentations for top managers.

In addition, this person will support a range of accounting-related tasks and will play a pivotal role in coordinating work and communication between the local market and the centralized accounting team model.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Finance Business Partnering:

1. Work closely with the commercial team and other supporting functions to support business growth.
2. Provide business insights to support operational & strategic business decisions.
3. Lead the financial planning process in the country (Plan / Mid-Year / LROP, etc.).
4. Financial Planning system input management (Norms / SKU / Technical Issues / Correction).
5. Preparing forecasts for Sales, OPEX, COP Flash/Mid-month forecast/P&L.
6. Monthly/Quarterly reporting: analysis of planned and actual data for budget holders/monitoring & support.
7. Check all P&Ls data, analyzing the reasons for the most significant deviations.
8. Lead the monthly closure process of the reporting period.
9. Oversees all tax and VAT-related matters.
10. Support changes in Takeda's legal footprint in the country.
11. Manage selected JE preparation retained with the local market post Takeda Business Solution implementation (TBS).
12. Oversees statutory financial statements generation.
13. Own all financial and accounting data & support internal and external audit activities.
14. Ensure robust control environment and adherence with Takeda SOPs.

SKILLS and LEADERSHIP CAPABILITIES

Required Education and Experience

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance or equivalent.
2. At least 5 years finance experience within a multinational environment.
3. Pharmaceutical or FMCG experience is preferred.
4. Experience in financial planning, solid accounting, tax & VAT background, and distributors management exposure is a must.
5. Strong knowledge of financial regulatory bodies in Saudi Arabia, such as not limited to; ZATCA, SAMA, MOC, and GAC, with hands-on experience in taxation, compliance, and financial reporting requirements.
6. Solid knowledge of Financial modeling using MS Excel, Power BI is a plus.
7. Experience in implementing/improving financial systems (e.g., SAP, Hyperion) is a major plus.
