Field Site Survey Inspector - Fiber Supply Management

Position Objectives:

• Field Site Survey Inspector for the Fiber Supply Management department within the Demand Management & Expansion business unit is responsible for conducting site surveys, inspections, and evaluations of fiber optic infrastructure to ensure accurate and efficient deployment.
• The role involves collaborating with multiple teams to assess and validate infrastructure requirements, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and budgetary constraints for fiber network expansion projects.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive site surveys to assess the feasibility and requirements for fiber network deployments.
• Inspect fiber optic installations and infrastructure to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with the Demand Management & Expansion team to validate infrastructure needs, both for planned and off-cycle fiber projects.
• Provide detailed reports on site conditions, potential challenges, and necessary corrective actions for fiber network installations.
• Work closely with project managers to review and validate OPEX and CAPEX for site-specific infrastructure requirements.
• Assist in identifying and mitigating risks related to fiber network build-out during the survey and inspection process.
• Evaluate and ensure alignment with design, safety, and regulatory requirements during fiber infrastructure installation.
• Provide recommendations on site improvements or alternatives to optimize fiber deployment and reduce costs.
• Coordinate with external vendors and third-party contractors to ensure smooth execution of fiber deployment activities.
• Support the reforecasting of demand requirements based on site conditions and infrastructure constraints identified during surveys.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor&aposs degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in fiber optic network deployment, field surveying, and infrastructure inspection.
• Strong understanding of fiber optic technologies, network architecture, and site-specific build-out requirements.
• Proficient in using field survey and inspection tools and software.
• Experience with fiber optic installation standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
• Knowledge of OPEX and CAPEX management for infrastructure projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues in the field quickly.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to analyze site conditions and provide accurate recommendations for project optimization.
• Familiarity with relevant telecommunications codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
• Good communication in English | Arabic Speaking (Preferred)
