Field Marketing Specialist


Location: Saudi Arabia, Riyadh


To accompany our exponential growth in the Middle East region, Fortinet EMEA Marketing is seeking a Field Marketing Specialist in the IT Industry to help further expand our customer and market footprint by focusing on brand awareness as well as lead and pipeline building activities. The right candidate for this role combines strategic thinking and tactical execution skills.


Based in our Riyadh office, this position will report to the Field Marketing Manager based in Dubai, UAE. The Field Marketing Specialist will work closely with sales to understand their targets, priorities, and key accounts and collaborate with various EMEA marketing departments.


Key Duties and Responsibilities


  1. Work with sales and Field Marketing to develop, enhance, and execute a field marketing plan that best supports business growth and is designed to drive brand awareness, leads, demand, and pipeline. The Field Marketing Plan should align with corporate, EMEA, and region sales and marketing priorities and messaging, translating strategy into actions.
  2. Develop and drive integrated marketing programs that consist of best practice marketing mix elements that generate quality prospects.
  3. Leverage and localize a repeatable and systematic set of programs to drive demand with the right balance between in-country and global campaigns.
  4. Manage key marketing activities like lead generation campaigns, events, industry conferences, and sponsorships.
  5. Manage and track results/ROI per spend.
  6. Manage relationships with agencies.
  7. Provide reporting and analysis on Field Marketing Activities.
  8. Work closely with different Fortinet teams (e.g., Business Development, EMEA Demand Center, creative) on closed-loop lead generation processes around direct marketing activities, database segmentation, and web initiatives among others.
  9. Coordinate events such as end customer days and industry conferences, including preparation and follow-up for each event.
  10. Work closely with the sales team on VLE & Enterprise patch to build “C” level connects.
  11. Utilize social media effectively.
  12. Handle channel activities and manage them with key partners and distributors.
  13. Collaborate with the Regional and Local Channel Directors to define the channel marketing tactics to leverage for the success of Saudi and measure ROI of the channel events.

Candidate Profile and Experience


  1. At least 5 years of experience in IT Marketing/high-tech, preferably IT-Security.
  2. Minimum 5 years working directly with field sales and sales executives on marketing programs.
  3. Experience in marketing program management.
  4. Demonstrated success in Field Marketing for a high-tech vendor meeting the revenue goals of sales teams.
  5. Complete understanding and proven track record across all field marketing tactics with integrated campaigns and communications to drive the pipeline: digital campaigns, call-out campaigns, event management, high-touch tactics, etc.
  6. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Strong business acumen and work ethic.
  8. Ability to work cross-functionally to plan and execute successful marketing programs.
  9. Ability to manage the planning and execution of programs in a deadline-driven environment.
  10. Positive attitude, self-motivated, result- and data-driven, creative, responsive, and able to set priorities.
  11. A self-motivated, independent thinker who can drive and deliver defined projects and meaningful content.
  12. Candidate must thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  13. Competitive, self-starter that is motivated to succeed.
  14. Must be metric-driven and a strong analytic thinker.
  15. Ability to influence and build cross-functional relationships - Knowledge of CRM/sales/email automation systems and how to maximize them for efficient lead distribution and reporting mainly using SFDC.
  16. Proficient use of MS Office applications.
