Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Medina County District Library is seeking a dynamic Maintenance Technician to join its Facilities department. Providing system-wide maintenance services, the Maintenance Technician ensures the safety and security of the library buildings and grounds. Responsibilities include delivering and distributing materials, supplies, and equipment to community libraries and other locations; performing minor repairs on plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems; custodial tasks; and maintaining the shipping and storage area, along with other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School degree or equivalent and building maintenance experience;
• A valid Ohio driver's license in good standing;
• Safety conscious;
• Demonstrate the ability to lift and transfer crates of 50 pounds;
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and maintain schedule;
• Pass pre-employment background check and physical.

WAGE: $19.18 per hour; Grade 5

HOURS: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:00 pm with a 30-minute lunch (37.5 hours per week); emergency maintenance call rotation during off hours.
