About the Role

On behalf of our client in Saudi Arabia, we are seeking a seasoned construction leader with a strong background in construction logistics. This role requires an expert in overseeing large-scale construction logistics operations, ensuring seamless site infrastructure for workforce accommodation, freight centers, and road construction.

As the Executive Director of Construction Logistics, you will play a critical role in the successful execution of this transformative development, driving logistics excellence, optimizing efficiency, and ensuring that all construction-related logistics align with the project’s delivery milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Construction Logistics Planning:

• Lead the development and execution of an integrated construction logistics strategy that aligns with the project’s broader construction and delivery objectives.
• Oversee logistics master planning, ensuring smooth coordination between site access, material movement, and workforce housing.
• Collaborate closely with construction delivery teams, senior stakeholders, and project leadership to integrate logistics planning with overall project timelines.
• Optimize cost-efficiency, sustainability, and operational effectiveness in all logistics processes.

Construction Delivery & Coordination:

• Work alongside construction, procurement, and logistics teams to align logistics planning with project schedules and site execution requirements.
• Ensure supply chain continuity by mitigating risks related to freight delays, material shortages, and logistics bottlenecks.
• Manage real-time coordination between logistics and construction teams to facilitate seamless project execution.

Workers’ Accommodation & Site Logistics Management:

• Direct the planning, design, and operation of temporary and permanent workers’ accommodations, ensuring compliance with international safety and welfare standards.
• Implement robust workforce transportation and accommodation logistics to enhance efficiency.

Freight Centers & Material Movement:

• Oversee the establishment and operation of freight centers and material consolidation hubs to maintain an efficient supply chain.
• Optimize logistics networks for heavy equipment, precast materials, and modular construction elements.
• Enforce compliance with customs regulations, security protocols, and environmental guidelines.

Construction of Roads & Site Access Management:

• Oversee the development of temporary and permanent construction of roads to facilitate safe and efficient movement of equipment, materials, and workforce.
• Implement traffic management solutions to minimize congestion and disruptions to construction activities.
• Ensure ongoing road maintenance and coordination with engineering teams and site contractors.

Dust Control & Environmental Compliance:

• Develop and implement dust suppression strategies to maintain site safety and environmental compliance.
• Utilize best practices in water suppression, road surfacing, and dust barriers.
• Drive sustainability initiatives to reduce the carbon footprint of logistics operations.

Key Requirements and Expertise:

• 20+ years of leadership experience in construction and logistics management within major real estate, construction, or infrastructure developments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Logistics, or a related field. Proven track record in managing construction logistics across large-scale projects, mega developments, or complex infrastructure projects.
• Expertise in coordinating large-scale construction operations, including site logistics, workforce housing, freight centers, and site access solutions.
• Deep understanding of construction sequencing, supply chain management, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong stakeholder management experience, working with government entities, developers, and contractors.
