Job Title:Executive Chef

Location:Saudi Arabia

Salary:£80,000 - £90,000 + Benefits (Tax Free)

Protea Recruitment is currently supporting a client in the Saudi region who is seeking an experienced Executive Chef due to expansion. This hands-on leadership position will be key in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations and managing a large team of culinary professionals. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience and expertise in a high-volume meal services environment. This includes experience in upscale dining or transitioning into supplying UK/EU retailers, military, airlines, or corporate catering.

Please Note:Our client is only able to issue Single Status VISA's only, to residents of the EU or UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Development & Innovation:Create and update innovative menus, using seasonal ingredients, that align with the concept and expectations of the service. Develop and test new recipes, ensuring consistency and exceptional quality. Stay current on culinary trends and techniques.
  • Kitchen Management:Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient daily service. Manage and mentor kitchen staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment. Ensure the kitchen is clean, organised, and well-maintained.
  • Food Quality & Presentation:Ensure the highest standards in food quality, taste, and presentation. Supervise food preparation and cooking, ensuring adherence to recipes and culinary standards. Monitor food costs and take steps to minimise waste.
  • Inventory & Ordering:Manage inventory levels, ensuring proper storage of food and supplies. Place orders with suppliers, negotiating prices and ensuring timely delivery. Maintain accurate records of inventory and orders.
  • Compliance & Safety:Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment. Maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene in the kitchen.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef with a strong track record of success in leadership roles.
  • Expertise in various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Hands-on leadership experience, capable of managing and motivating a large culinary team.
  • Excellent organisational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • A culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
