Position: Estimator / QS Engineer (Railway Experience)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare cost estimates for railway projects, including new construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance projects.
2. Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project scope, budget, and schedule.
3. Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
4. Identify potential risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to mitigate risks and maximize opportunities.
5. Collaborate with project team members to develop project budgets and schedules.
6. Monitor project costs and provide regular cost reports to project management.
7. Review and negotiate change orders and provide cost impact analysis.
8. Participate in project meetings and provide cost-related input.
9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date cost databases and historical records.
10. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in cost engineering and estimating.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in cost engineering and estimating, preferably in the railway industry.
3. Strong knowledge of cost engineering and estimating principles and techniques.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Willingness to travel as needed.
