Enigne Support Specialist

Responsibilities
Coordinating and interfacing with the Typhoon Support Center (TSC) and the Typhoon Propulsion Support Facility (TPSF) on all matters impacting the supportability and availability of Typhoon EJ200 Engines.
Acting as the Typhoon obsolescence point of contact within the DoAM, monitoring the Typhoon Weapon System obsolescence management strategy and ensuring that obsolescence is managed effectively, through-life, whilst minimizing life-cycle costs and maximizing aircraft availability.
Management & Control of all EJSRFs through to final signature.
Monitor & Report on the status of all RSAF Non Attributable (NA) engines throughout the NA recovery programme.
Support the implementation of management processes and procedures which aim to help reduce and prevent future FOD occurrences.
Interface & Coordinate with the TSC and TPSF for the Monitoring and Reporting of Engine Reliability and Performance Issues.
Monitor & Report Engine Health Monitoring (EHM) statistics in order to identify issues for escalation at the Engine Integrity Working Groups.
Monitor & Report performance of RSAF maintenance processes and procedures that support EJ200 operations and report to TyWSSM accordingly.
In conjunction with the TSC and TPSF, monitor and report the status of all Engines RDRs & Concessions through to closure.
Provide support to the Configuration Change Management process and report the EJ200 Engine Fleet configuration status.
Monitor & Report on In-Kingdom Supplier performance activities in support of maximizing output to increase engine availability.
Where necessary, initiate EJ200 and Engine Component Problem / Defect Investigations, liaising with the TSC and TPSF as appropriate, review the resultant reports and expedite any consequential maintenance or modifications.
In conjunction with the TSC and TPSF, monitor & report on the progression and conclusion of all Engine Problem / Defect Investigations.
Monitor & Report AGE Availability in order to identify issues for escalation at the AGE Management Working Groups.
In conjunction with KFdAB, establish, monitor & report the recovery status of all unserviceable AGE with the aim to achieve the required Operational Readiness Measure in line with that agreed recovery plan.
Manage & Report on all known Obsolescence in order to identify issues for escalation at the Obsolescence Management Working Groups.
In conjunction with Typhoon Weapon System Section specialists, assist in the development and refinement of future support concepts and policies.
Generate reports and briefs on research and development topics, new programs, safety and reliability subjects, as required.
Accompany RSAF officers to briefings and meetings, as required.
Perform other engineering and administrative tasks as required by the TyWSSM or his deputy.
Take ownership of personal and professional development.
Co-operate with Directors/Departmental Managers to achieve a healthy and safe workplace and take reasonable care of themselves and others.

Job Requirements:
Knowledge & Experience in Engines & Propulsion systems.
Experienced with Engine Health Monitoring (EHM) and subsequent fault diagnosis procedures.
The incumbent must have a detailed knowledge of military maintenance regulatory procedures.
Experienced with the Quality system ISO 9001 or equivalent.
Working knowledge of Safety Management Systems.
Comprehensive appreciation of military airworthiness.
Be compliant in Maintenance Error Investigation techniques.
Understanding of Continuous Improvement (CI) processes and procedures.
1st or 2nd Line Typhoon experience at Senior Supervisor level or above or experience of working with Military Fast Jet platforms in the Forward Operational Domain.
Previous experience working with Industry within an aeronautical environment.
