Engineering Manager - Offshore

Job Description

KBR-AMCDE is looking for a highly motivated, dynamic and strategic thinking Manager of Engineering. Reporting to the Offshore Director of Projects and supporting the Project Managers, you will be responsible for engineering delivery across all KSA offshore projects and being the technical focal point for the clients.

Role Responsibilities

1. Manages / forecasts engineering resources utilization, staffing levels and recruitment requirements
2. Evaluation of engineering/design staff capabilities identifying development and training needs
3. Deliver on Engineering Saudization targets
4. Oversight on all engineering execution
5. Applying best engineering practices and ensures client and company procedures are followed
6. Key engineering interface with Project Managers and Clients
7. Coordinates with Company Global engineering centers
8. Management of Offshore Engineering Department Managers
9. Succession planning
10. Oversight of all licensed engineering software requirements, budgets and usage
11. Proposal input, review and presentations
12. Technical delivery strategies
13. Engineering estimation and engineering estimation norms
14. Design and Safety Reviews
15. Engineering Team Leadership and mentorship
16. Engineering quality processes, including checking and approval requirements
17. Appraising direct reports on a regular basis
18. Maintaining and promoting Company Values
19. Promoting the capturing and implementation of lessons learned on Projects

Skills & Experience

1. Proven experience in the management of engineering
2. Must have strong knowledge of offshore oil & gas FEED and detailed design projects. Ideally a mix of greenfield and brownfield experience.
3. Fabrication/Construction experience would be beneficial.
4. Experience of Saudi Aramco standards would be beneficial.
5. Able to lead others in a challenging environment.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering is required
Total of 20 years Experience and 10-15 years Offshore experience
