Role: Engineer PLC & SCADA
Job Purpose: Setup, program, test, implement and support computer control systems used for production automation and industrial equipment such as Programmable Logic Controls (PLC), Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisitions (SCADA), and System packages, namely Compressor Control Corporation (CCC), Woodward Governor System, Flow Computers, Tank Gauging Systems (TGS), and Process Monitoring Camera Systems for all Refining operating facilities and systems.
Key Result Areas:
Job Context: The position of Engineer PLC & SCADA is involved in working independently, under minimal supervision of Engineer PLC & SCADA on managing approved projects and providing support services on a 24x7 basis, related to ICS and OT of the above-mentioned systems. The job holder needs to use the latest software tools/applications such as Ladder logic, Visual Basic, PI Process book, PI-Data Link, PI-Vision, Remote Terminal Unit (RTU), Tank Inventory System and using PLC to control Gas turbines, Motors, Compressor Controls Corporation (CCC) anti-surge controller, Woodward Governor, and Pressure swing adsorption (PSA) to fulfill job requirements. Explore and evaluate potential implementation of new/state of the art technologies and digitalization in the field of OT digitalization based on business needs and strategic roadmap.
Knowledge Skills and Experience: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Control Engineering, Instrumentation, Robotics, Electronics or equivalent. Minimum 7 years of experience in the oil refining, oil and gas production or petrochemical industries. Experience in handling multiple projects and providing engineering support in an operating refinery environment. A thorough knowledge of PLC Ladder logic, visual basic, RTU engineering, Radio/wireless communication and industrial networks and protocols. A thorough knowledge of International Standards i.e. ISO, ISA, IEC, NIST, etc. and best practices related to cyber security. Excellent analytical and good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written. Must have the ability to write clear and concise reports, letters, proposals, memoranda and presentations.
