Job Description

You are the beginning of an exceptional guest experience. As a Reservations Agent, you will make our guests feel welcome and reflect the exceptional experience they come to expect when they arrive!

What You Will Be Doing

1. Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
2. Book and enter room reservation requests using the Property Management System
3. Enter rooming lists while ensuring accuracy, as required
4. Update reservations ensuring a flawless check in and check out process
5. Ensure revenue is maximized by up-selling guest rooms and recommending hotel facilities
6. Liaise with Sales and other departments as required
7. Answer telephone and email inquiries in a timely manner
8. Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
9. Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
10. Follow all safety policies
11. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

1. Minimum 1 year of experience as a Reservations Agent
2. Previous Property Management System experience preferred
3. Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required
4. Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
5. Highly responsible & reliable
6. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
7. Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
8. Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Additional Information

Experience is an asset. Prior experience working with Opera or a related system. Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities. Fluency in English and Arabic, additional languages are a plus.
