Electrical Technician (Port Equipment Maintenance)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Technician with experience in port equipment maintenance. The ideal candidate will assist in performing preventive and corrective maintenance on Ship-to-Shore (STS) cranes, Rubber-Tired Gantry (RTG) cranes, and Rail-Mounted Gantry (RMG) cranes. The role requires hands-on expertise in electrical systems, including cable laying, terminations, and troubleshooting components such as contactors, relays, and limit switches.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance on STS, RTG, and RMG cranes.
2. Perform cable laying, terminations, and connections.
3. Assist in diagnosing and repairing electrical failures, including contactors, relays, and limit switches.
4. Support the reading and interpretation of electrical drawings.
5. Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and maintenance protocols.
6. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

1. Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in port equipment maintenance (STS, RTG, RMG cranes).
3. Hands-on experience with electrical systems, including cable laying and terminations.
4. Basic understanding of electrical drawings and schematics.
5. Familiarity with safety standards and maintenance best practices.
6. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
7. Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience with PLC troubleshooting.
2. Certification in electrical systems maintenance.
