Key Responsibilities:

  • System Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, circuits, and wiring in the facility, ensuring all equipment meets operational and safety standards.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, perform repairs, and replace faulty components (e.g., wiring, outlets, circuit breakers) as needed.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and systems to minimize downtime and extend the life of assets.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all electrical work is performed in accordance with local, state, and federal safety codes and regulations, including National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
  • System Upgrades: Oversee and assist in electrical upgrades or installations, such as adding new outlets, electrical panels, lighting systems, or other electrical equipment.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to electrical emergencies or outages, identifying the problem and providing solutions to restore power and prevent future issues.

  • Energy Efficiency: Assist in identifying and implementing energy-saving initiatives, such as upgrading lighting systems to LED or optimizing electrical distribution for efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. An associate’s degree in electrical technology or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Typically, 3-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance and repair, with experience in facilities management preferred.
  • Certifications:
  • Certification in electrical systems (e.g., Electrician's License, OSHA certification, or relevant electrical technician certifications).
