Electrical Supervisor

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB:

Electrical Supervisor to execute electrical construction & maintenance program(s) and related activities; to calculate the load requirement for projects; supervising assigned skilled trade people; implementing and maintaining electrical maintenance services within established guidelines and standards by following all safety procedures.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. The primary objective of Electrical Supervisor is to execute electrical work as per design and ensure work is completed within planned time and budget. Should read all types of drawings, check load requirements, and give instructions to electricians based on specifications and drawings.
2. Supervise the assembling, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, ensuring that the use of hand tools and power tools is carried out properly.
3. Diagnose malfunctioning wiring networks and components, instruct electricians to use test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of breakdowns and correct problems.
4. Supervise and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Monitor safety measures and ensure jobs are completed before deadlines.
5. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes.
6. Instruct electricians to place conduits (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas as per requirements and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes. Ensure the usage of personal protection systems by subordinates and monitor compliance with safety procedures.
7. Record daily productivity of manpower as well as materials consumed. Prepare daily reports and PRs for materials as per drawings.
8. Ensure relevant procedures are followed to maintain product safety, legality, and quality aspects.

EDUCATION: Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Certification Course.

KNOWLEDGE: Good knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, electrical load calculations, blueprints, drawings, and models.

EXPERIENCE: 5 years.
