Job Description:
Should have hands-on experience in maintenance of all types of HT/LT Motors and other rotating equipment.
Dis-assembly, mechanical checks, overhauling, and assembly of high-voltage motors/generators & DC motors.
Visually inspect equipment as received and record findings such as missing and/or damages.
Should have thorough knowledge in erection, repair, overhauling, and commissioning activities of rotating equipment at site and in-house.
Should have considerable experience as lead man (able to lead a group of technicians and supervise their activities).
Should be able to use all hand, power, and measuring tools with good accuracy.
Should be able to measure all assembly clearances for rotating equipment.
Should be able to carry out all types of alignments.
Should be able to perform removal, repair, and reinstallation of rotating equipment.
Should be familiar with standard rigging signals and procedures.
Should be familiar with all safety requirements applicable to power plants.
Should have good communication skills to explain the work to his team and with customers.
Inter-coordination for execution of work in different areas.
