Responsibilities:

1. Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects
2. Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements
3. Source and obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
4. Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project costs
5. Create and maintain comprehensive project cost controls and budgets
6. Prepare and submit tender documents and proposals
7. Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting
8. Evaluate and negotiate contract terms with vendors and subcontractors
9. Monitor project progress and cost variances, and identify areas of concern or potential savings

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, or similar role
3. Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards
4. Proficiency in using cost estimation software and tools
5. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
7. Effective communication and negotiation abilities
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
9. Knowledge of relevant regulations and codes
