The Operation Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with strategic business goals. You will manage multiple operational teams, drive continuous improvement, and be accountable for the execution of the company's operational strategies. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of financial services operations, proven leadership experience, and the ability to deliver outstanding results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities/Duties
Operational Leadership & Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of the company's operational strategy. Ensure all processes, policies, and resources align with business goals and are designed to drive operational efficiency, profitability, and service excellence.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Analyze current operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Implement best practices, streamline workflows, and optimize resource allocation to ensure cost-effectiveness and productivity. Continuously monitor and assess operational performance to ensure high standards.
Team Management & Development: Manage, mentor, and lead a high-performing operations team, ensuring that roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and performance expectations are consistently met. Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture, providing leadership and support to all team members.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of operational processes. Regularly report on operational performance to senior management, identifying areas for improvement and driving accountability at all levels of the organization.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders, ensuring that all operational activities meet client needs and expectations. Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, ensuring smooth operational delivery and resolution of any issues.
Oversee risk management practices to minimize operational risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Implement and enforce strict operational procedures and security protocols to safeguard company assets and data.
Budgeting & Cost Control: Manage the operational budget, ensuring resources are effectively allocated. Monitor and control operational expenses to meet cost targets, optimize efficiency, and improve profitability without compromising service quality.
Technology Integration & Innovation: Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate cutting-edge technologies that enhance operational processes. Lead the adoption of innovative solutions and automation tools to streamline operations and improve customer satisfaction.
Work closely with departments such as Sales, Finance, Customer Service, and IT to ensure seamless collaboration across the organization. Ensure all teams are aligned with operational objectives and that information is shared efficiently.
Problem-Solving & Crisis Management: Take ownership of complex operational issues and resolve them swiftly and effectively. Provide leadership and direction during critical situations, including system failures, customer complaints, or operational bottlenecks.
Job Requirements
Minimum 10+ years of experience in an operational management role within the debit/financial services industry or a related field, with a proven track record of overseeing large-scale operations and driving significant process improvements.
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field.
Fluent in both English and Arabic (both written and spoken) is mandatory. The ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and clients across the region is essential.
Proven experience in leading and managing large, diverse teams. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop talent while maintaining high standards of performance.
Strong understanding of operational processes, workflows, and key performance metrics. Experience in implementing lean management techniques, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Excellent analytical abilities with a keen eye for identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement. Strong decision-making skills and the ability to think strategically while addressing day-to-day operational issues.
Solid financial knowledge with experience in managing budgets, controlling costs, and optimizing operational expenses to achieve financial goals.
Strong understanding of risk management principles, regulatory compliance, and security protocols related to financial operations.
Familiarity with financial software systems, operations management tools, and automation technologies. Proven ability to adopt and integrate new technologies to improve operations.
