About the Role
NextWave is working with a leading provider of energy engineering solutions to help grow their team in Abu Dhabi. They are building the core members of their team and are looking to hire a Chemical Sales Engineer.
1. Position Summary
The Chemical Sales Engineer, based in the GCC, is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing sales strategies within the chemical industry to achieve company sales targets and growth objectives.
Key responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining customer relationships, and overseeing the sales process to ensure customer satisfaction. This includes analyzing market trends, assessing competition, and understanding customer needs to identify opportunities and potential challenges.
The role involves:
- Collaborating with the Head of Business Development (BD) to set targets and forecast sales volumes.
- Building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential clients within the chemical industry.
- Conducting regular client meetings to understand their needs, propose solutions, and ensure the companys offerings are clearly communicated.
The Chemical Sales Engineer will act as the primary liaison between the company and clients, handling inquiries and working closely with the Head of BD and the Commercial Manager in the Middle East to grow the business in this new market.
Additionally, they will:
- Pursue new business opportunities, including lead generation and networking within the chemical sector.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the companys product portfolio and understand how each solution addresses specific customer needs.
- Execute a sales plan aligned with business goals, focusing on driving revenue growth within the chemical sector.
- Provide insights based on market analysis and customer feedback, ensuring alignment with industry trends and customer demands.
- Support sales efforts in the Middle East region to further enhance growth.
2. Major Responsibility Areas
- Provide sales support and build strong customer relationships for all company activities in the Middle East.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and clients, handling inquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Carry out any additional assignments as requested by the Middle East Commercial Manager.
3. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
- Skills: Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Experience in Chemical Cleaning & Decontamination Solutions.
- Mindset: Results-oriented with high levels of self-motivation and ambition.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role within the chemical or related industry.
- Working knowledge of the Middle East market is preferred.
- Abilities: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.
