Our client seeks to recruit a highly skilled Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of their shipping agency business in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, leadership experience, and a deep understanding of the shipping sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team of 8 members, managing daily accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Oversee the year-end closing process and the preparation of financial statements.
Prepare and present regular MIS reports to senior management, analyze financial data, and support strategic decision-making.
Manage VAT and corporate tax compliance, staying updated on tax regulations.
Mentor and develop the finance team, providing leadership and guidance to enhance team performance.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor financial performance against budgets, implement cost control measures, and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
Requirements:
Chartered Accountant (CA), M.Com, or MBA.
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the service industry, preferably within the shipping/logistics sector.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel.
Knowledge of financial practices within the shipping industry is a plus.
