The Technical Sales Engineer based in KSA is primarily responsible for developing, implementing, and managing sales strategies within the chemical industry to support in achieving company sales targets and growth objectives.

The Technical Sales Engineer must be able to identify new business opportunities, build and maintain customer relationships, and oversee the sales process to ensure customer satisfaction including but not limited to analysing market trends, competition and customer needs to identify business opportunities and potential challenges.

Collaborate with the Head of BD to set targets and forecast sales volumes, building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential clients within the chemical industry. Conduct regular meetings with clients to understand their needs, provide solutions, and ensure company's services offerings are well understood by customers.

The Technical Sales Engineer will serve as a focal point between the company and clients, handling inquiries, working closely with the Head of Business Development and Commercial Manager in the Middle East to grow the business in this new market. A main part of the role is to identify and pursue new business opportunities, including lead generation and networking within the chemical sector and to develop strong knowledge of the company's product portfolio and understand how each solution can address specific customer needs.

The Technical Sales Engineer must be able to execute a sales plan in alignment with business goals, focusing on driving revenue growth within the chemical sector and ensure actions meet expected industry trends with a competitive landscape and customers demands. The role will also require to provide insights based on market analysis and customer feedback and being able to communicate effectively and regularly.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

  • Provide Sales Support and Build Customer Relationships for all company's offered activities to customers in the Middle East and ensure full adherence and serving a focal point of contact between the company and clients, handling inquiries, maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Any other assignment that may be requested by the Middle East Commercial Manager from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Mandatory (Entry Level)

Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry

Preferred

Effective Communication, Interpersonal and Organisational Skills

Results-oriented with a high level of self-motivation and ambition

Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and partners

EXPERIENCE (Work related)

The candidate should have at least 5 years experience in a similar role within the chemical or related industry. Working knowledge of the Middle East is preferred.
