IT System Engineer

Objective

As an IT Systems Engineer, you will provide technical support across the Sahm office, internal and external DC, help desk, perform high standard system/network development and vendor interaction.

Duties & Responsibilities

The IT System Engineer’s tasks will include but are not limited to:

1. Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
2. Establishing accounts for new users and assisting with password or login problems.
3. Troubleshooting and resolving issues with software, hardware, and network.
4. Walking colleagues through steps to help them resolve their technical problems.
5. Analyzing records and logs to spot underlying trends and potential issues with IT scheduled activities.
6. Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
7. Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
8. Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone).
9. Setting up and managing accounts for new users.
10. Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary.
11. Testing and supporting the implementation of new technology, solutions, or applications.
12. Occasionally requiring working in data center for the network changes.
13. Possibly providing end-user training.
14. Learning the company's internal knowledge base documents and creating new knowledge base documents IT related.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or equivalent degree.

Qualifications And Experience

• 2-4 years of experience.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
• MCSA, higher certificate, or equivalent certification.
• Avaya Aura Call Center Administration & Configuration.
• VMWare vSphere ESXi and vCenter Administration.
• Fluent in writing and speaking of English language.
• Engineering, or related field experience would be an advantage.
• Minimum two years of experience in Networking and System fields.
• Knowledge and expertise with a variety of software, hardware, and applications.
• Excellent skills to solve complicated problems and see projects through to completion.
• Analytical skills to study problems and records and identify solutions.
• Team-oriented attitude to help other colleagues and teams with technical problems.
• Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage time and effectively prioritize numerous projects at one time.
• Organized and attentive to detail.
• Must be flexible with changing priorities and able to communicate in a polite and professional manner.
