Job Description MSS and Operations Support Coordinator - 00123591
Location: Taif, Saudi Arabia
JOB PURPOSE
The job holder is responsible to the Typhoon Operations Manager through the Squadron Operations Team Leader for the delivery of an efficient operations support function tailored to the requirements of the RSAF.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the smooth running of the Squadron Operations room and surrounding environment.
- Ensure that Mission data and debrief data is correctly prepared.
- Control and maintain all Flight Planning boards and activities for MSS Mission Planning support.
- Support the Saudisation process through the OJT and consolidation training of assigned RSAF technicians.
- Support the company SHE policy through best practices within the work centre.
- Complete any other reasonable duties or requests made by line management.
- Deputise for the Supervisor during periods of leave/absence to ensure operational capability is not compromised.
Minimum Requirements:
- Educated to HNC level or recognized equivalent, or have relevant experience supported by formal, recorded workplace applied related training.
- Extensive proven experience within a high tempo military squadron operations environment.
- Operations and Mission Support knowledge, including an understanding of mission planning support, flying programme maintenance, and debriefing support.
- Extensive proven experience in a Squadron Operations supervisory role.
- Previous experience in delivering On the Job training to subordinates or counterparts.
- Broad aerospace and defence company/industry knowledge.
- Understanding of RAF and/or RSAF engineering operating procedures.
- Ex-military with experience serving on an operational military flying unit.
- Experience working in a military aircraft maintenance environment.
- Thorough working knowledge of Squadron Operations and Mission Support (Typhoon MSS preferable).
- Experience of working in the aviation industry in a Gulf Coast Country preferred.
- Ability to act upon their own initiative within the scope of their job.
- A conscientious approach to work and meticulous attention to detail.
- A track record of meeting strict deadlines without compromising standards and quality.
- Excellent working knowledge of flying performance metrication and a solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
