Mechanical Site Engineer

Job Description

1. Coordinate and interface with Contractor’s staff to determine and implement project requirements.
2. Coordinate and interface site activities with other site engineers in your team.
3. Coordinate with Client’s site counterpart for any required inspections/site approvals.
4. Check site conditions for suitability before construction.
5. Observe, check, and ensure that work execution is in accordance with approved drawings, submittals, and method statements.
6. Plan ahead the construction activities with subcontractors to be in line with the project schedule and key dates.
7. Prepare inspection reports and site records in due time.
8. Check that materials delivered are approved and properly stored.
9. Ensure that the available manpower and materials are sufficient to perform the works within the time frame set in the schedule.
10. Ensure that the Contractor is using the latest revision of approved drawings and technical submittals.
11. Observe and ensure adherence to site safety procedures. Act positively and participate in all health and safety issues at site.
12. Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Minimum Requirements

1. B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Minimum 10 years of experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects.
3. Shop drawings and material submittals reviews and approvals.
4. Appropriate mechanical code knowledge.
5. Construction sequencing & methodology.
6. Familiarity with International Building Code (IBC).
7. Must be fluent and able to effectively communicate in both spoken and written English.
8. Knowledge of computers and basic software applications: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and read construction schedules (Primavera).
9. Strong analytic capabilities and the ability to work independently.
