Civil 3D Autocad Technician

The responsibilities of the REVIT/ Civil 3D modeller shall include:

1. Create REVIT or Civil 3D models to a high level of accuracy with guidance and assistance from the Senior Modellers;
2. Develop plans, sections, elevations and details from a 3D REVIT, Civil 3D, and BIM model for projects of all sizes and complexities;
3. Clearly annotate, dimension and detail design and production drawings in REVIT or Civil 3D as necessary;
4. Assist the Senior Modellers to setup and manage large sheet sets including revisions and mark-ups for each project, including being able to plot drawings in PDF, DWG or to paper plots;
5. With guidance from the Senior Modeller, be able to operate in a work sharing environment (central files on Revit or Civil 3D servers).

Skills

The post requires the demonstration of the following skills and experience:

1. Develop 3D accurate and correct models in REVIT and/or Civil 3D;
2. Must be a committed team player and work collaboratively with all other engineers and modellers;
3. Knowledge of preparing detailed BIM models and clash detection, including data management;
4. Good understanding of REVIT and/or Civil 3D modelling platforms and Navisworks for clash analysis and BIM360 for model collaboration;
5. Ability to follow coordination instructions and display relevant model content/views to help team members with parametric modelling strategies;
6. Manage and support the creation of project driven Level of Development (LOD) criteria based on needs.
