Job description

As an Operations Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operations to ensure the safety and efficiency of the company’s operations. You will be a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills, the ability to manage and motivate a team, and a commitment to continuous improvement. You will be responsible for monitoring workflow, managing resources, and ensuring operational goals and targets are met.

In this role, you will:

  1. Oversee and manage daily operations, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to quality standards;
  2. Lead, mentor and develop a team of operational staff, providing guidance and support to achieve performance targets;
  3. Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, discuss challenges and foster a collaborative environment;
  4. Monitor and improve operational processes to improve efficiency and productivity;
  5. Implement and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency in operations;
  6. Identify areas for improvement in processes and work with the team to develop and implement solutions;
  7. Ensure that required tools, machinery and technology are available for operations and ensure their safety and proper function;
  8. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operation and resource sharing;
  9. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to assess team performance and operational efficiency;
  10. Prepare and report operational performance to senior management;
  11. Address and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions;
  12. Ensure compliance with all relevant company regulations and policies;
  13. Maintain high standards of customer service by ensuring that operations meet or exceed customer expectations;
  14. Handle and resolve customer complaints or operational issues;
  15. Collaborate with the customer service team to ensure smooth communication and service delivery.

Qualifications/Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering disciplines.
  2. Experience in the field of operating management or implementing operations.
  3. Previous experience as an operations Supervisor.
