Senior Electrical Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our esteemed Mechanical Services Shops Department (MSSD) in Abqaiq, within the Planning and Technical Services Division.

MSSD is equipped with advanced workshops and facilities, powered by a highly skilled team—a vital component of our success. Our main duty is the upkeep of both rotating and stationary equipment, supporting all field operations through reliable maintenance and repair services.

This position requires hands-on expertise in providing guidance, technical support, and oversight to teams engaged in the fabrication, welding, and repair of pressure vessels, piping systems, and auxiliary devices. Mentorship responsibilities may also be part of the role.

Job Overview:

As a Senior Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical services shops department. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the fabrication, welding, and repair of pressure vessels, piping systems, and auxiliary devices, while maintaining the highest level of quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Workshop Management: Direct a team of 6-10 skilled craftsmen, assessing work in progress to ensure high-quality output and efficient productivity. Manage outstanding work assignments to optimally allocate manpower and identify necessary tools and materials.
• Project Coordination: Coordinate with the Maintenance Planner to ensure timely completion of fabrication tasks. Execute administrative tasks including report generation and documentation of welding activities performed by the team.
• Technical Support: Offer technical advice to junior craftsmen, as well as operations and maintenance teams, to facilitate the planning of turnarounds and significant fabrication projects. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company standards during all welding activities.
• Training and Development: Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior craftsmen, and maintain comprehensive records of their training progress.
• Equipment Repair: Analyze and troubleshoot complex projects to assess if repairs are necessary, identify the type of repairs required, and decide whether tasks will be performed in the workshop or on-site.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 10 years of experience in the fabrication, welding, and NDT fields. They will be accountable for supervising and directing 6-10 welders, pipefitter/fabricators, and field metals mechanics involved in projects linked to fabrication of pipe spools and structural steel frameworks or the repair of plant equipment.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is between $120,000 to $180,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
