Principal Electrical Designer

Title: Principal Electrical Designer

Overall Summary: Principal Electrical Designer with proven experience in the design of substations, transmission, and distribution systems in the Oil & Gas, hydrocarbon, and/or infrastructure industries. Minimum 15 years’ experience in FEED and detailed engineering of medium to large scale projects is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plant and facility layout support and coordination
• Plant and facility layout and distribution
• Develop Area Classifications drawings
• Develop equipment layout
• Develop Physical design drawings (grounding/earthing, lighting protection, lighting voltage drop calculations, AG Power & Control, UG Cable/conduit, cable tray designs, etc)
• Develop LV/MV schematics

Qualifications & Years of Experience: Minimum Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Certification, with a minimum of 15 years’ design experience in Oil & Gas, hydrocarbon, and/or infrastructure industries.

Key Skills & Technical Competencies:

• Must be a reliable designer who can work independently and able to lead/guide a team of 5 -10 electrical designers
• Must be proficient in developing design drawings using Microstation
• Knowledge of Saudi Aramco CADD standards is an advantage
• Must have excellent knowledge & understanding of Design practices, Construction Practices and Procedures
• Must be proficient in English; oral and written communication.
